Jerry (Zhizhen) Tan is an NYC-based award-winning interdisciplinary designer with 9 years of design and project management experience. Currently with McKinsey, he considers himself a 60% experience designer + 40% consultant, placing impacts across design, business, and technology for the growth of enterprises and NGOs across North America.

Prior to that, he graduated from MFA Design & Technology program at Parsons School of Design with Departmental Honors, where he engaged in crafting technology-driven accessible interactions for visually impaired communities. His experimental interaction designs were recognized by organizations and institutions – his Interactive Audio Description Project won the 2021 Catalyst Fund from Roddenberry Foundation; his Project ArtEcho also won the Activating Smithsonian Open Access Challenge 2021 by the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and Verizon 5G Lab. During his internship with GE Appliances, he focused on optimizing user experience with connected consumer products and featured his works in world-class exhibitions, including CES and KBIS.

Always appreciating serendipity in his adventures, Jerry is keen on roading tripping, road cycling, and wandering in museums in the city.
